1. Advantages
Good granulation effect: high ball formation rate, one-time extrusion granulation forming rate of more than 90%, no return material, no screening powder, high granule strength, round and uniform, as long as the raw material formula has appropriate moisture content, generally no drying equipment is required.
Excellent granule quality: the processed granular material has a smooth surface, moderate hardness, low temperature rise during processing, and can better maintain the various nutrients inside the raw material, uniform granule composition, and neat shape.
Wide range of application: It can be used for granulation of a variety of organic materials, such as sawdust, rice husks, cotton stalks, cottonseed skins, weeds and other crop straws, domestic garbage, waste plastics and factory waste, as well as biological fertilizers, organic fertilizers, compound fertilizers, etc., and has a good granulation effect for materials with low bonding rate and difficult to form.
Stable equipment performance: compact structure, stable quality, suitable for 24-hour continuous operation and production.
Easy operation and maintenance: The pressing wheel adopts multiple uniform distribution, stable operation, increased pressing area, and improved production efficiency. At the same time, this model is equipped with a variety of aperture molds, which can be selected according to production needs.
Low production cost: Compared with some granulation equipment that requires complex drying, cooling and other subsequent treatments, the flat die granulator does not require or reduces these links, saving equipment investment and energy consumption.
2. Disadvantages
High requirements for raw materials: There must be no hard objects such as stones and iron blocks in the raw materials, otherwise the rollers and molds may be damaged, affecting the granulation effect and equipment life.
Auxiliary equipment is required: Although the flat die granulator itself has certain advantages, if you want to produce higher quality and rounder granule products, you usually need to equip it with polishing equipment for secondary processing, which increases equipment investment and production costs.
Relatively limited production capacity: Compared with some large-scale rotary drum granulators, the single-machine production capacity of the flat die granulator is relatively low. For large-scale production enterprises, multiple devices may need to run simultaneously to meet production needs.
