1. Prepare materials and add bacteria: prepare the manure to be fermented, preferably fresh pig manure (fresh manure fermentation effect is better than old manure), such as: about 1 ton of fresh pig manure plus 0.25 kg of pig manure fermentation agent. First, mix the pig manure fermentation agent with rice bran (or corn flour, wheat bran) at a ratio of 1:5-10 for later use.
2. Build a pile of pig manure: Sprinkle the prepared pig manure with bacteria while building the pile. The height and volume of the pile cannot be too short or too small. Requirements: The pile height is 1.5-2 meters, the width is 2 meters, and the length is unlimited.
3. Adjust the moisture. The moisture content of fermented pig manure should be controlled at 40-65%. Moisture judgment: Hold a handful of pig manure tightly with your hand, and water marks can be seen between your fingers but no water drips. It is better to disperse as soon as it falls to the ground. Less water means slower fermentation, more water means poor ventilation, and it will also cause the "corruption bacteria" to work and produce odor. Therefore, you must control the moisture content.
4. Start temperature. The starting temperature should be above 15℃ (it can be operated in all seasons and is not affected by the season. In winter, try to ferment indoors or in a greenhouse), and the fermentation temperature should be controlled below 70-75℃.
5. Mix well and ventilate. Pig manure fermentation agent requires good (consumption) oxygen fermentation. Therefore, during the operation, the oxygen supply measures should be increased to ensure mixing, frequent turning and ventilation. Otherwise, anaerobic fermentation will cause odor and affect the fertilizer effect.
6. Fermentation is completed. Generally, after 48 hours of pig manure accumulation, the temperature rises to 50-60℃, and it can reach above 65℃ on the third day. It needs to be turned over once at this high temperature. Under normal circumstances, there will be two high temperatures above 65℃ during the fermentation process. Fermentation can be completed by turning over twice, and fermentation can be completed within a week. The material is dark brown and the temperature begins to drop to room temperature, indicating that the fermentation is complete.
